Bluntface Records welcomes Virus Cycle
Greetings from Bluntface Records. We are the new home of Boston's own Virus Cycle and Johnny Virum.

With the debut release of 2011 Post-Apocalyptic Industrial Zombie Tech album entitled Alice in Zombieland. The album has been downloaded by people all over the world via the band’s website. Since the release of Alice in Zombieland, Virus Cycle's music has been played on stations all over the world. Virus Cycle has also been interviewed by a few publications, including Grave Concerns E-Zine and Carpe Nocturne Magazine. Bluntface Records is very excited to have Virus Cycle on its roster, and the 2012 follow up releases will be produced by Otto Kinzel.

If you can't get enough Virus Cycle to hold you over, then you'll be excited to know that Johnny Virum and Otto Kinzel will also be teaming up on a side-project simply known as Kinzel v Virum. This collaboration will feature Johnny on vocals and samples, and Otto on guitars, programming and synth. We have two mixed demos already uploaded to the Bluntface website, check them out HERE

Also Otto Kinzel's debut solo album has a firm release date. November 9th! Anyone familiar with the Zodiac Killer case should recognize that date as having some significance.

Another brand new track from the upcoming Otto Kinzel solo album, We are all doomed: The Zodiac Killer has been added to the Album Downloads section. The stranger at Lake Berryessa is now uploaded. All songs are .99c a piece or get the entire album (so far...) for $3.99. New songs will be added up until the official release mid-November.

The first three NEW Lucretia's Daggers songs are now available online. 2011's Reflections will be the first new LD album since 2006's Sad Flower Songs and will feature re-recorded versions of tracks from SFS as well as new material. These new tracks are now available online for .99c per download (or $2.99 for the three songs that are available so far). New tracks will be added leading up to the official release 10/2.

Otto and Faust from Lucretia's Daggers were guests on the Boston Local Music Show, on Unregular Radio. "Many thanks to Dave Crespo and Dex for having us on, and for their support of LD". Check out the interview here (it's from 2:30-3:30pm, so you may need to fast-forward a bit ;) on the podcast.

Also, both Lucretia's Daggers and Chemical Distance will be performing on NEGB1's Behind the Scenes internet TV show. LD will be appearing 9/14, followd by ChemD one week later on 9/21. Check it out and watch some funny ass interviews and rare acoustic performances!

The first track off Otto Kinzel's upcoming solo disc is now up. Two Dead on Lake Herman rd is available for download. We'll gradually be uploading new songs here and there from We are all dommed: The Zodiac Killer over the next several weeks until the album's offcicial release in November. Enjoy!

Happy 4th of July! To celebrate we've uploaded a blast from the Bluntface past...Wormdr1v3!. This was one of Otto's Industrial/metal projects in the early 2000's. Wormdr1v3 released a five song E.P in 2003 and a follow up single in 2004. Some of these tracks have now been added to the Free Downloads section. We hope you enjoy, and there will be more Wormdr1v3 tracks added in the next few weeks that will also be available for free download.

Marc Brennan officially joined ChemD as live drummer. Marc had played on three songs on The Pain & The Progress, playing live drums on Golden Child and Sugar, and adding additional guitar on The Protector. He will also contribute live drums on 3 songs on the upcoming ChemD full-length in 2011, tentativley titled The Program Is Not Responding.

Lots of news from radio: Lucretia's Daggers were a featured guest on The Boston Local Music Show on Unregular Radio. Lucretia X. Machina and Otto sat down with Dex and Dr. John for 30 mins of hilarious questions and banter. Many thanks to Ron Morrison and the entire crew at the Hot Topic location at the Maine Mall in Portland, ME. We had a great time doing the in-store performance and as always it was a terrific opportunity to get out music exposed to a wider audience. Hopefully this Winter we'll have several more in-store shows to announce as part of HT's Local Static showcase.

We have two brand new songs available for FREE in the Downloads section! These are both only rough mixes, and will probbaly undergo more editing before they enter the final mix & mastering stage, but it'll give you a preview of the new material that will be on the forthcoming second Chemical Distance album. (release date TBA). Both of these songs feature backing vocals from Lucretia X. Machina of Lucretia's Daggers.  A HUGE "Thank You" to her for donating her time and talent for these songs. Hopefully we'll be able to get her on a few tracks before the album is finished.

We had a blast doing those performances, and hopefully we made some new fans in the process. And Mike was able to buy some fake vampire fangs in the process, now he can see Eclipse in style

New Shows posted. Ch.D will be performing two shows on Friday, 7/9. Both will be for Hot Topic as in-store performances. at 2pm we play the Hot Topic in the Newington Mall by Portsmouth NH. Then, a few hours later at 5pm we shoot over to Salem NH and the Rockingham Mall to perform inside that Hot Topic location. both shows will feature 30 min sets by CH.D. free to the public and all ages. we'll also be selling copies of The Pain & The Progress for only $5. First off, Chem.D has added yet another Boston area show. this one is 6/24 at The Church in beantown, right next door to Fenway. We'll be playing with Lucretias Daggers and our friends in Mortuus Ortus.
   Secondly, we have now added the rest of the track from The Pain & The Progress  to the Downloads section. So have fun and add             No "Real" Friends and The Golden Child to your digital collection.

June is shaping up to be a VERY  busy month. We already have 7 shows booked for that month and almost certainly will have another 2-3 to add. Chem.D has been CONFIRMED as one of the bands on this years' Boston Underground Music Festival! Organized by O-RY-N from Project Hybrid/United Front Company, this festival will be June 6th at the All Asia cafe in Cambridge, MA. All ages show that starts at 3pm. Chem.D is very excited to be a part of such a kick ass event and look forward to meeting some fans, new and old alike.
Also we have uploaded Pics from our CD Release Show two weeks ago. Check 'em out if you get a chance, this was a very fun show.
